BBc youth logoYouth Work at Bretton Baptist

Headed up by Rachel McDermott, our full-time Youth Pastor, youth work at Bretton Baptist Church is open to everyone in school years 6 to 13.  You can read more about Rachel here.

As well as Sunday morning groups which run alongside our 10.45am service, we have age-appropriate connect groups for discipleship during the week as well as The Pulse, an open youth club, on Thursday nights during term time.

And if that isn't enough, there are always our special youth events:

Crazy Games

Once a term, we run a Crazy Games evening (or Sunday afternoon) for all the young people in school years 6 through to 13. As well as giving everyone (including the team) a chance to let their hair down, we play silly games, the larger the better to encourage fun and fellowship amongst our young people. The activities are kept secret until the event itself but they usually involve a fair bit of mess: we've had a paint fight, a paint Slip & Slide and a (paint-free) Christmas themed version of Speak it Out!

Soul Survivor Celebrations

We aim to head down to Watfor for Soul Survivor Celebrations once a term.  These lively evenings of worship and teaching for young people are run by the same team who put on.....

....Soul Survivor

Soul Survivor is a five day long Christian youth festival. In the summer of 2017, the festival is coming to the East of England Showground here in Peterborough.  We're packing up our tents and heading to Soul Survivor for Week B  (19th –  24th August) -  how could we resist when it's going to be right on our doorstep?!  This event is open to everyone in school years 8 and above.

Hope Revolution Peterborough

Here at Bretton, we're looking forward to getting involved in Hope Rev Peterborough......
