Matthew 26:17 -19
17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
How do you upset and shut the Satan up? Celebrate healthy wins!
The enemy detests followers of Jesus celebrating salvation wins, spiritual breakthroughs, healings, miracles, signs and wonders. He especially hates it when we show boldness and courage over trials tribulation troubles and tragedies in our lives. He doesn’t like us praying to God through Jesus, He panics hugely when we believe God answers prayers. Believing God answers prayers disarms the Satan forging a spiritual protection around us. When we celebrate victories, however large or small, in the name of Jesus, no weapon forged against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Celebrating is a huge part of our lives. We celebrate births, birthdays, age-milestones, anniversaries, major achievements, retirement, annual events, Christmas and many other significant occasions.
The word "celebrate" originates from the Latin word "celebrates." "Celebratus" is the past participle of "celebrare," which means "to assemble to honour," "to publish," "to sing praises of," or "to practice often".
Every Sunday billions of Christians come to celebrate who King Jesus is and what He has done, is doing and will do. Jesus instructed his disciples to prepare His final meal so He could celebrate with his disciples one final time before his execution and resurrection. How is it something so cruel would bring about something so beautiful? The worse crime against God was the crucifixion of His Son Jesus. The greatest victory was won on the cross of crucifixion. We celebrate that King Jesus defeated the Satan’s biggest and most powerful plan, to end God. It was the greatest failure ever!
God loves it when we give His Son King Jesus all the credit for getting us through the day, for rising in the morning, for pressing on, for seeking Him, for holding it all together, for lamenting before Him in hope things will improve, for crying out to Him because we feel we have nothing left. Leaning into Him is a form of celebrating that it is in Him we trust. Often, all we need to do is be still and let Him fight for us (Exodus 14:14).
How to win a victory, celebrate King Jesus for who He is and what He has done for you through the cross of calvary. King Jesus loves to celebrate our wins with us. Whether it is a birth, anniversary, achievement, special occasion, small steps of faith, big spiritual breakthroughs, invite and involve Jesus, and you will rise on the wings of eagles (Isaiah 40:30-31). He even prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies (Psalm 23:5).
God has prepared us for victories over every circumstance. Let us celebrate with King Jesus who has won the war to end all wars. Come on and celebrate, Jesus is Lord.
Prayer: King Jesus, I celebrate your victory over the Satan and celebrate my rebirth in you. Amen
