HE IS RISEN, HALLELUJAH
Today we celebrate the greatest day in history. Because of HiSstory we can live life in abundance, He came that we may have life in abundance John 10:10.
All that the Old Testament and what Jesus said about His resurrection, came true on that first Easter Sunday. Accept, believe and confess Jesus is risen and is Lord and you rise above death, now and forever.
John 11:25-27
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
"The resurrection of Jesus changes the face of death for all His people. Death is no longer a prison, but a passage into God's presence." Eugene Peterson “He has forced open a door that has been locked since the death of the first man. He has met, fought, and beaten the King of Death. Everything is different because He has done so. This is the beginning of the New Creation: a new chapter in cosmic history has opened.” — C. S. Lewis
Bishop Azariah, the first native Indian Bishop of the Church of South India, was asked, “If you were in a village where they had never heard of Christ, what would you preach upon?” Bishop Azariah said, with no hesitation, “The resurrection.” Today, brothers and sisters, we are reminded that we are a new creation, no more in condemnation. The resurrection of Jesus was the starting point for all those that are alive in Him and He in us, to thrive. There is nothing more to excel our spiritual growth and overcome all things, than our resurrected life in King Jesus.
Our resurrection in and through Christ has two major privileges for us, the first is that we receive eternal life, the second is that it starts again and again the moment we wake up and start a new day. Paul in Philippians says, “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Leonard Da Vinci once said, “Life well lived is long.” King Jesus came to give s life and to show us living. Living our lives for King Jesus, helps us to encounter a deeper level of His power, peace, protection, provision and spiritual privileges.
What are we choosing today? To live for Christ is to thrive. To thrive in Him is to truly be alive.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the privilege of life, today and all days to come, I will live to thrive because in me you are alive. Amen
